The Webster Soho New York
With freezing temps in NYC, nothing will put you more in the mood for spring than a trip to The Webster, the city’s newest luxury concept store by founder and CEO Laure Hériard Dubreuil.
Located in a gorgeous cast iron building dating back to 1878 on Greene Street in Soho, The Webster SOHO New York is the fifth outpost of the famed retailer, with its origins in Miami Beach in 2009. After immediate success, The Webster went on to open additional stores in Bal Harbour, Houston and Costa Mesa. With this new New York location, Laure has outdone herself, transforming the once two-story building into a 12,000 foot, six-story building over the course of the past four years with the help of interior designer Christopher Osvai.
I had the pleasure to catch up with Laure and take a tour of the space which, from floor to floor, felt fresh, easy to shop and uniquely chic. There is a reminiscence of Miami with soft pastel touches throughout, hence the feeling of warmth despite the actual temperatures outside. I am particularly drawn to the patterned antique fabrics used as backdrops for the ready-to-wear.
The designer assortment includes brands such as Chanel, Valentino, Marni, The Row and Moncler, to name a few, yet the fashion is merchandised based on color story and mood rather than by collection. There is feeling of discovery to the shopping experience which, personally, I find very rare and special these days!
Shop my favorite items below from Laure’s super well curated assortment. Enjoy!
