The Rarity: A Mini-Moment for Yourself

The Rarity: A Mini-Moment for Yourself

Let's face it, the weather may be deceiving but the fall season hit like a ton of bricks...

It's suddenly all about squeezing everything you possibly can into the day (and sometimes the night!), running from one appointment to another and feeling like it's already time for a mini-vacation. If you're a parent, it's not only getting your kids up and out the door in the mornings, but then there's the HOMEWORK, and so much of it.

So, until the time comes to actually take a mini-vacation, I try my best to take "mini-moments" whenever I actually have a few minutes of downtime. Whether this happens once a week, once a month or once every six months, it's crucial to help maintain a balanced state of mind and overall well-being.

I've listed below a few of my favorite items this fall that I'm obsessed with and have become part of my "mini-moment" ritual:

1. dr. brandt skincare Magnetight Age-Defier Mask
It's not often that I experiment with new skincare regimes but the one item that I'm always open to trying is a face mask. I've tried mud, charcoal, exfoliating, peel off, and sheet masks; the kind that make you look like Jason Voorhees (think Friday the 13th!). Always on the lookout for new breakthroughs, I was recently turned on to dr. brandt’s Magnetight Age-Defier Mask. This anti-aging, iron-infused mask never gets hard or tight but, instead, draws out impurities and toxins from the skin in the recommended time and is easily removed using a super cool magnet tool provided with the product. The mask's black tourmaline, known as one of nature’s most energizing minerals, neutralizes negative energy and boosts positivity. The process could not have been easier or cleaner and my skin was left radiant and smooth.

2. Bodum Assam Tea Press
I've literally had this tea press for years. The clear and simple design helps you measure the intensity of the tea by the color as it brews and it keeps it warm in the process.

3. Agent Provocateur Ivory Silk Robe, Cami & Pants
OK, let's face it, there are two types of pajamas. There's the kind you wear when you're home alone, you don't give a shit and you just want to be comfortable. Then, there's the kind that you wear when you want to look and feel chic, whether you're alone or not. Usually when we're alone we just want to be comfortable, however, when you have the time to take your "mini-moment," put on your chic pair. Just to make yourself feel good. If you’re significant other is at home, they’ll appreciate it too. ;-)

4. Love Her Wild: Poems by Atticus
I'm a sucker for a good love poem and the new poetry book by the anonymous poet who goes by the name Atticus, has me head over heels.

5. Bottega Veneta Red Velvet Slippers
Velvet is definitely my favorite fabric of the season and this merlot colored pair is as comfortable as they are stylish, even for simply hanging out at home.

6. By Kilian "French Boudoir" Refillable Candle with Mother-of-Pearl Holder
When I want to set the perfect mood in a room, I light my French Boudoir candle by luxury perfume brand By Kilian. This deep and sultry scent has notes of tuberose, jasmine, coconut and musk.

7. Mariage Frères "Fall in Love" Tea
A black tea with a velvety blend of rose and pâtisserie notes. Besides the comforting flavor, the packaging is a pretty-looking pantry staple.

Life is a juggling act but, if and when you can take your own “mini-moment," I hope that one or all of these items bring a sense of well-being into your own life!

Thank you dr. brandt skincare for sponsoring this post.
